A Dreamlike Exploration of Winter, Materiality, and Digital Craft

The Realm

The Realm is a textile collection inspired by Tereza’s perspective on the world from childhood, which forms dreamy storytelling – her realm of the shiny snowy pinky world with the visual language of winter landscapes. Snow-covered mountains form the foundation of the project’s aesthetic, influencing structures, silhouettes, and textile design. It explores a surreal, icy world where softness, reflection, and protection coexist, translating emotional memories into contemporary textile expressions.

TEXTILE FRAMEWORK

Textile framework combines functional and experimental materials including neoprene, lycra, fleece, metallic laminates, and upcycled knits. Textile development integrates multiple techniques such as CAD embroidery, sublimation printing, laser cutting, appliqué, hand beading, and rhinestone embellishment. Digital embroidery played a central role in translating concept into material form, supported by extensive stitch testing, machine trials, and design-to-production workflows using CAD embroidery software.

Shades such as icy ivory, blush pink, glacial blue, pearl mint, and foil silver establish a cold yet playful atmosphere. Materials were carefully selected not only for their visual qualities but also for their structural potential, often creating tension between decoration and function. What appears ornamental frequently serves a technical or symbolic role within the garment.

PRODUCTION & TECHNICAL SKILLS

The collection reflects a strong connection between creative design and production knowledge. Technical documentation, digital sampling, and material testing supported consistent execution across textiles and garments. Skills developed include embroidery production planning, fabric sourcing, digital patterning, and coordination between concept, machine processes, and final outcomes.

The Realm stands as a highly tactile, visually immersive project that merges fantasy with technical precision. Rooted in this collection, the winter landscape became a key point of reference, shaping material choices, surface treatments, atmosphere and has since remained an essential element of Tereza’s design signature. This collection showcases her ability to combine emotional storytelling, advanced textile techniques, and material experimentation into a cohesive and distinctive design language.
