Tereza Belak is a textile and apparel designer originally from Slovakia, based in London, with a focus on innovative apparel and textiles with digital embroidery. She holds a Master of Arts degree and a BA in Fashion Textiles: Embroidery, both from London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. Tereza continues to develop her ongoing research from project called Crystal Cicle, which explores sustainable ski wear at the intersection of performance, design, and environmental responsibility. She is currently working on a new collection, applying her progressive approach to sustainable apparel design with textile storytelling. Her work aims to create ski apparel that meets the rigorous demands of outdoor enthusiasts while contributing to a circular economy through design for disassembly and resource conservation.
 
Alongside her design work, Tereza is actively involved in production, bringing practical knowledge of garment making into her sustainable design process. Winter mountains remain an endless source of inspiration for Tereza, a passionate skier, influencing the signature embroidery in her work. It’s an expertise deeply rooted in her academic background and hands-on experience. She is dedicated to connecting her embroidery craftsmanship with forward-thinking sustainable apparel practices as she continues to evolve her design practice.
